"While you are sleeping your enemy is training so that when he meets you he defeats you.”

My Story

Brad is that enemy. Up well before dawn and tending to his clients' needs, Brad works hard while others are still sleeping so that he can get a jump on his opponents. He has been defending trucking companies and trucking insurers for his entire career, and his industry knowledge, combined with his litigation experience, allows him to achieve efficient and cost-effective results for his clients. Whether it’s settling pre suit, settling in mediation before or after discovery is undertaken, or even taking the case to and through trial, Brad keeps his clients’ best interest at the forefront, working hard and at all hours of the day and night for his clients.

Bradley J. Luminais, Jr. was born in Metairie, Louisiana. He was awarded one of the most prestigious scholarships to Louisiana State University, a Top 100 Scholarship. He attended Louisiana State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2000 with a Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communication. While at LSU, he received the Recreational Sports Award and was also a member of the LSU Power Lifting Team, the Public Relations Student Society of America, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Golden Key National Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

After graduating with highest honors, Brad decided to further his education at LSU by enrolling in law school. Brad served as the Student Body Executive Vice-President of the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and he was also elected Class Representative and Civilian Society Vice-President. Additionally, he was awarded the River Parish Claimants’ 1988 Refinery Explosion Memorial Scholarship, a LSU Board of Supervisor’s Scholarship, the CALI Award for the highest grades in Legal Writing, Environmental Law and International American Trade, and was also named to Who’s Who Among American Law Students.

Brad joined  upon graduation in 2003 and became an immediate asset. Brad has focused his practice in the areas of trucking defense, insurance defense, corporate casualty and personal injury defense. His knowledge, work ethic and proven litigation skills allowed him to be promoted to Senior Associate status in a short time of only three years and Partner within five years. Brad possesses an AV Preeminent Martindale Hubbell rating, which is the highest level of professional excellence, and he has tried cases before judges and juries at both the state and federal level. Brad is also a graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s Deposition Skills Program, Expert Deposition Skills Program, and Trial Skills Program. He has also received numerous defense verdicts at trial and mediated hundreds of cases.

Brad and his wife, Brandy, are the proud parents of two children, Brady and Beau. In his spare time, Brad enjoys weight lifting, participating as an active member of the St. Catherine of Siena Men’s Club and being a coach at Pontiff Playground. Finally, since 1996, Brad has been covering local high school football games in print and on radio, and he is currently a Friday Night Football reporter for WWL 870AM.
