Nicole S. Tygier is a graduate of Loyola University and Loyola University School of Law where she was a member of the Moot Court staff. Nicole Tygier was admitted to practice in 1989. During her more than 30 years in practice, she has tried suits in both state and federal courts, and has participated in both arbitrations and mediations.
Her practice focuses on providing advice on, and litigating in the areas of business obligations, fiduciary duties, securities law, franchisor/franchisee relations, lease negotiations, landlord/tenant disputes and large-scale financings, as well as the needs of business entities from formation to dissolution.
Nicole is the co-author of Americans with Disabilities Act Employment; LSHA-CLE, 1992, and the author of “Federal Civil Procedure 101” for Loyola University. Nicole served as an Assistant Examiner, Business Entities and Negotiable Instruments, for the Committee on Bar Admissions for the State of Louisiana, 1995 – 2000. Nicole has spoken on numerous topics throughout the years, most recently on Landlord/Tenant issues, Federal and State civil procedure, trial practice and discovery and the use of technology in the courtroom.
Nicole is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the New Orleans Federal Bar Association and has been a member of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the board of New Orleans CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women), the premier commercial real estate association in the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan Area for women from all disciplines of commercial real estate, the Committee on Pupil Progression for the Orleans Parish School Board. She is active on the Governing Board of Shir Chadash Conservative Congregation, holding several executive board committee positions, including President; has served as a board member of the Anti-Defamation League, and is a member of various volunteer organizations including the National Council of Jewish Women, Greater New Orleans Section, and the New Orleans Camellia Society.
